HANDMADE INVITATIONS AND FINE STATIONERY
Directions/Map/Accommodations Cards
These are inserts included with the wedding invitations. They are optional to send, but even though GPS systems and websites provide directions, these cards continue to be printed for the convenience of the guests. They are best printed on the same quality of paper as the invitations. Easy to read lettering is a good idea. The printing does not have to follow the same typestyle as the invitations.
At Home Cards
These insert cards can go along with the wedding invitations to tell your guests where you will reside after the wedding/honeymoon. They usually simply include the names of the bride and groom (maiden name when sent with invitations, married name when sent with announcements), the address and the date when you will start residing there.
Pew Cards
Pew cards let guests who will have a reserved pew seat know about the assignment. They are given to the usher at the ceremony in order for the usher to escort them to their appropriate seat. Pew numbers are written or printed on the card, along with a brief identification such as:
Please present this card at
Location of Ceremony
Pew number ___
Within the Ribbon Cards, Admission Cards
These insert cards are similar to pew cards, identifying special guests who will be attending and/or be specially seated. They are taken to the wedding and given to the usher.
