Take a fully assembled envelope containing all the pieces that will be included with your invitation to your post office and have them calculate the exact postage. Postal regulations and/or prices change every year. The changes sometimes involve envelope categories/size requirements that affect the cost of postage.

Letters that meet one or more of the nonmachinable characteristics below are subject to the nonmachinable surcharge. For items over 3.5 ounces, see large envelope or package prices (on their website).

Please note that other countries may require a different minimum mailable envelope size that is slightly larger than the U.S. minimum requirement. Normally this larger minimum envelope size is: 5-1/2 inches long x 3-1/2 inches high.
